Question: Paul claimed that Janson Junk has a nice 3-start run coming up since his 3rd start will be against Milwaukee. Really? Facing Milwaukee is easy? The last time the Brewers scored less than the league average in runs per game was in 2023. In 2024, they averaged 4.8 runs per game, 6th in MLB. In 2025, they averaged 4.98 runs per game–behind only the Yankees and the Dodgers. So far this year, they are tied with the Dodgers with 6.8 runs per game.
Just because they have a small budget does not mean that they have a bad team.
No I didn’t nor have I ever suggested Milwaukee isn’t good bc they have a smaller budget. I literally called it a “litmus test” w/CIN-DET-MIL coming up, suggesting that we’d get an idea of who is after facing 3 straight playoff teams. In no world did I suggest Milwaukee – or CIN/DET for that matter – weren’t good clubs.
My apologies, Paul–I misheard you. I thought the reference was to having a bit of an easier run since CIN is (small sample size) the worst offense in MLB this year.
Totally get it, glad we talked it through. I am still nervous about Junk, but let’s see how he comes out the other end of these 3 starts!!
